I found this one thanks to Booktok, and I wasn't disappointed! It took me a little longer to get into it, but that could also be because I'd just finished a trilogy and I was still very attached to those characters.
This is the first in an eight-book (so far) series, so be prepared for a long ride!
I enjoyed Elise's story. Her sister was a royal bitch (pun intended), but Elise has a huge heart and questions all the selfish/self-righteous actions of her people. Gotta love a girl with a strong mind and a willingness to question the status quo.
Legion was an interesting character. I thought I knew who/what he was about halfway through the story. I was only half right. I love when that happens!
Overall, I recommend this story and I'm looking forward to diving straight into the next one.
